Heey guys i have a question about a older game i have been playing for a while now & i want to start modding it/ remastering it inside unreal engine 4. Here is some information about the game. The game is called Archlord or some refer to it as Archlord 1. Its been offline for around 6-7 years now & there are only private servers left. The game itself is full with bugs & simply doesnt look as good as some other games. I know i am not a expert & sure as hell am not aiming to get money out of it.
The server files from episode 1-3 are out on elite pvpers & have a source code. Pretty much the full package.
I am aiming to see if i can recreate & edit some of the existing files from archlord. So lets say i want to import character animation & grafiqual looks into unreal engine 4 is this possible? Also i am not aiming to release it but if i do succeed il would ofcourse talk with the copyright owner first. I know more popular games like ark modding is supported & there are tons of tutorials out there sadly for my game thats not the case so is it possible when there is no allowing for modding but the server files & source codes are all over the internet + private servers to actually import files to unreal engine 4? The engine Archlord is made in is not unreal engine 4 wich might make it a bit harder but i just wanna hear some thoughts if its possible or not. So simply is it possible to import files from the game archlord into unreal engine 4? (also i am not sure if this is the right topic but i think it should be under modding). Fokusi figasebe torrent.
Short answer: No. Long answer: Unless you have the IP or permission from the IP holder, no. So even if have the server files & all the files of the game its not possible. Yea i understand its not allowed to launch the files with unreal engine without permisson from the official copyright holder. Thanks for the answer i guess il have to try a really good job at remaking it myself what i wanted to do is pretty much take combat/skills & skill animation`s from the archlord game but seems like thats a no go.

On December 6, 2013, Webzen announced the closing of ArchLord, the game has been shut down since January 1, 2014. This section does not any. Unsourced material may be challenged. ( August 2013) () ArchLord uses a crafting system, which allows players to upgrade items in a unique way as well as allows players to carve, skin and ransack any defeated monster. The materials achieved using carving, skinning and ransacking skills are used in Alchemy and Cooking to create powerup items. Alchemy creates metamorphosis potions which allows a player to transform into monsters, whereas cooking allows a player to create food which give statistic bonuses, e.g. Defense buff.
There is an advanced market system employed in this game for ease of trading between players. One of the features of ArchLord is the ability to compete to become the ArchLord, the ruler of the game world. Only one ArchLord can exist on each server, reigning for four weeks before he/she is challenged by other players for the position. The ArchLord has access to a castle, a unique dragon mount, control of the weather and other features. This section does not any. 
Unsourced material may be challenged. ( August 2013) () ArchLord is set on the continent of Chantra and features four playable races;,, Moon and the new DragonScion.
